AllStarLink node 2198 corresponds to the W8ARA repeater in West Virginia. Licensed amateurs can bring the node into a private connection or roundtable from any linked node worldwide.

EchoLink 4112

EchoLink node 4112 also connects to the W8ARA linked system. EchoLink lets FCC-licensed amateurs join the repeater from a computer or mobile app anywhere on the internet.

Using the linked system

The AllStar / EchoLink nodes bring W8ARA into a much larger community of amateur radio operators. If you're new to linked networks, please:

  • Identify with your callsign at each transmission.
  • Pause between overs to allow other stations, including linked users, to break in.
  • Keep conversations amateur-radio-appropriate. Content standards from the FCC and ARRL still apply on linked audio.
  • Please avoid keying while the node is transmitting a link tone or announcement.
