Membership

Support the linked repeater network that serves southern West Virginia and southwestern Virginia. Membership dues go directly to the maintenance and operation of ARA repeaters.

Yearly dues

$20 — individual yearly membership
+$10 — each additional family member in the same household
Any amount — donation to the club (always appreciated)

Dues renew annually and go directly toward the maintenance and operation of ARA repeaters.

Three ways to join or renew

HamClubOnline — our online roster; join, renew, and pay dues in one place.
PayPal — pay dues or make a donation directly.
Application form — fill it out on the website (submit online) or print it and mail it with a check.

Option 1 — recommended

Join through HamClubOnline

HamClubOnline is the club's online roster. Once you're a member there, you can pay dues, update your contact info, and see ARA news in one place.

Step-by-step

Go to hamclubonline.com.
Click Sign Up (or Register) and create a free account with your email address and a password. You'll be asked to verify your email — check your inbox and click the confirmation link.
Once logged in, use the Find a Club / Search Clubs option and search for either ARA or W8ARA. Select Appalachian Repeater Association from the results.
Click Join (or Request Membership). Fill in your amateur radio details — call sign, license class, address, and phone.
Pay your dues through HamClubOnline's payment page, or use the PayPal option below. A club officer will approve your membership request; you'll get a confirmation email when you're approved.

Trouble finding the club? Try searching by the call sign W8ARA — some searches match on call sign more reliably than club name. If you still can't find us, contact ARA and we'll help you get connected.

Option 2

Pay dues or donate via PayPal

Use PayPal to pay your yearly dues, add family members, or make a one-time donation to the club. You do not need a PayPal account — PayPal accepts credit and debit cards as a guest.

In the PayPal note field, please include your call sign and whether the payment is for new membership, renewal, or a donation, so the treasurer can credit your account correctly.

As a member of the ARA, you'll have access to a network of linked repeaters that enhance your ham radio experience and help you connect with other operators across the region.
